This is what you will do:

TheDirectorofUSgMGHCPMarketingwill lead the development and execution of keybranded and disease statestrategies and tactics todrivedemand generation andappropriate utilizationoftherapyforgMG. The candidate will report to theSenior Director,of USgMGNeurology Marketing.

You willbe responsible for

  • Continuingto develop / refine branding, brand valuepropositionand message platform in partnership with global marketing, medical, HEOR and market access

  • Lead Competitive Readiness planning and strategic workstreams to informstrategicbrand planning

  • Supportkey customerengagementinitiatives(i.e.,Ad Boards,Advisory Committees,Key Customer interactions and forums) 

  • Driveinnovative and disruptive Marketing approaches aimed at expanding reach to key customers and broadening awareness andtreatmentofgMG.

  • For key strategicinitiatives,lead creation and rollout ofnew marketingmaterials, and serve as a lead atfield basedmeetings (AKF, regional meetings)

  • Ensureseamless and efficientexecutionof marketing initiatives toFieldSales, Sales Training, Though Leader Liaisonsand othercross functionalteams.

  • Developingmarket researchand insightsplanin coordinationwith market researchteam

  • Cultivatingstrong relationships withenterprisecross functional teams to ensure seamless execution and tracking of marketing activities and tactics

  • Collaboratingclosely with Global team and other launch markets to ensure alignment and share best practices

  • Representingthe US team at key meetings and events

  • Managingagency partners, projecttimelinesand budgets.

  • Communicatingeffectively to all levels of Alexion staff and management.

  • Workingwith the highest degree of professionalism andin accordance withthe company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry; can include marketing, agency, or related healthcare experience 

  • Deepunderstanding of the US pharmaceutical market and experience in rare diseases is highly desirable.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

  • The duties of this role aregenerally conductedin an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.

  • Certain activities may involve travel 30% of the time or involve weekend programs

We would prefer for you to have:

  • Graduate degree

  • Experience in Neurology

Annual base salary for this position ranges from $ 193,898.40 - 290,847.60 USD Annual AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
