Job Description
The Project Manager will manage a major project (valued in excess of $2M) within ETS Delivery and primarilyaligned to the Digital Workplace portfolio.The role will report to the Director of ETS Global Delivery, Digital Workplace team.The role will lead a project team from initiation to close, to deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs.Project / Programme Managers are accountable for determining and delivering solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments whilst meeting required quality and compliance standards.Focus areas include Risk Management and delivery of business benefit.This role is also required to follow established project management standards and contribute to continued development of the project management capability.
Typical Accountabilities
Develop and deliver project plans in accordance with AstraZeneca's IT Project Management Methodology (ADF), encompassing scope, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities, and quality metrics.
Manage project/programme budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, change management, and status reporting to stakeholders and review boards.
Identify and manage intra-program dependencies and across portfolios, coordinating status and delivery of project workstreams.
Develop and assure comprehensive service transition plans to ensure sustainable solutions in a BAU operations environment, including controlled hand-over into operational support.
Cultivate relationships with key business stakeholders to effectively capture business requirements and ensure commitment to project/program objectives.
Lead steering/stakeholder meetings and communicate status, issues, and risks.
Implement and manage effective risks and issues management processes, escalating problems as appropriate.
Build and lead cohesive project teams, providing individual coaching and development.
Manage scope changes, ensuring all impacts are approved and communicated to stakeholders and review boards.
Ensure compliance with ADF standards, quality, compliance, defined technical capabilities, and establish program governance.
Ensure expected benefits realization aligns with project deliverables and is understood by stakeholders and the project team.
Support the development of a world-class center of excellence for project management, promoting best practices.

Typical project budget range: $100k - $1m
Project team size: Up to 12 people
Collaboration:
Work effectively with the Supplier Management function to manage small to medium-sized supplier contracts.
Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure adherence to AstraZeneca’s project delivery standards.
Engage with key business stakeholders to ensure successful requirement capture and commitment to objectives.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Technical or Business disciplines or equivalent relevant experience.
Proven experience in managing and controlling project budgets.
Experience in leading and developing diverse project teams.
Track record of delivering innovative solutions that impact business areas significantly.
24+ months of proven relevant experience as an Associate PM or equivalent.
Strong project and program management skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge of financial management and benefits delivery practices.
Broad understanding of IT systems and technology within a business context.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and consulting skills.
Experience working with internal and external suppliers.
Desirable Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Project/Programme Management certifications.
Experience in a global organization with geographically dispersed stakeholders and project team members.
Strong leadership skills.
Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma skills.
