Global Finance Services(GFS) is at the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable to the AZ Group for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with exceptional business analysis and insight, enable our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.
About the Team:
GFS Central Team supports financial processes for Global Functions in AZ (IT, EF, Central OPS) during MEC and planning cycles. We deal mainly with human costs ,other opex and as well capex cost.Interns mainly work with analysts who support complex functions. We involve them in various jobs and also teach them our tasks. Currently we are looking for an intern to support capex activities.
Your core accountabilities will include:
Month End Closing (MEC) - GL analysis, Journal Entries (accrual posting, reclasses), Intercompany invoicing.
Financial Planning & Analysis - planning tool usage, uploading capex forecasts, preparing analysis and explanations, result commentaries.
Capex project accounting – supporting project capitalizations and write offs, SOX controls, supporting business in new project codes creations
Essential for the role:
Willingness to work and develop in finance
Interest in tasks that relate to financial roles, especially FP&A
Understand the basics of finance (DR/CR, Journal Entries, GLs, BS, PNL, etc.)
Numericity, accuracy, patience, drawing fast conclusions
Good Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, i.e.vlookup, sumifs)
Good knowledge of English (both verbal and written)
Openness to contact with people (cooperation with people from different cultures and at different, often very high, levels of management), Team-player, good communication skills, ability to work in dynamic environment
The internship will last 12 months.
Please remember that we work in a hybrid scheme, be prepared to work partially office based (minimum 3 days per week).
