Summer Internships in Tarzana, CA and Santa Monica, CA (Undergraduate)
We are seeking undergraduate students for a 10-12 Week Student Intern role to be working out of our Cell Therapy division based in Tarzana, CA or Santa Monica, CA.
Summary of Role Duties:
Our two sites will host a variety of roles:
CAD Support Specialist Interns (Available in both Tarzana, CA or Santa Monica, CA):
- Assist in creating library of drawings of Lab, Process, and Facility equipment using computer-aided drafting.
- Assist in walking through the sites and verifying existing drawings match actual build and redline as needed.
- Assist in revising or changing facility drawings and completing standard calculations with specific instructions and feedback.
- Work under the guidance engineers to complete assigned work.
- Review work for completeness and accuracy.
Quality Interns (Santa Monica, CA only):
- Analyze the current Change Control process and recommend process improvement.
- Identify bottlenecks in sample processing, testing turnaround time, and recommend efficiency improvements in QC testing.
Manufacturing Science & Technology Intern (Santa Monica, CA only):
- Support ancillary quality record management activities such as DEV, CAPA, CCR).
- Identify continuous improvement areas in current MSAT business processes.
- Process data entry and verification (from GMP paper records to electronic database)
Manufacturing Operations Intern (Santa Monica, CA only):
- Engage in Value Stream Mapping
- Identify and assist in implementation of continuous improvement solutions across manufacturing settings
- Support training record migration and facilitation of curricula updates
Position Requirements:
- Undergraduate students working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Candidates must have a graduation date set for after August 2025.
- CAD experience & ability to read drawings required for CAD-based roles is required
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is beneficial
- Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
- US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
- This role will not be accepting CPT or OPT support.
- Ability to report onsite to Tarzana, CA or Santa Monica, CA 5 days a week. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
- Santa Monica Interns will report to 2225 Colorado Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90404
- Tarzana Interns will report to 18412 Oxnard Street, Tarzana, CA 91356
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
Employment Details:
- Candidates can expect to start on either June 2 or June 16.
- The hourly rate for this role will be $25/hr.
