Patient Services Enrollment Specialist (12-month Contract)

As a Patient Services Enrollment Specialist, you will be the engine behind accurate, timely patient onboarding to on‑label therapies. You will partner closely with case managers and support specialists, run critical documentation, and maintain clean, reliable data that enables decisions at speed. Your work will help remove barriers, illuminate trends, and ensure every patient’s case is handled with care and compliance from first touch to final approval.
This is a 12-month Contract position (Hybrid 3 days/week).
Accountabilities:
- Enrollment Execution: Collect, review, and complete patient enrollment packages for on‑label therapies to enable timely access.
- Access Acceleration: Identify restrictions and resolve fastest, compliant pathway to allocate patients to support services and therapy.
- Documentation and Compliance: Document and initiate access processes, handle case files, and maintain audit-ready records that protect patient privacy.
- Data Integrity and Management: Enter, verify, and update high volumes of data from multiple sources; retrieve records to support swift case progression.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed quality reviews to finalize patient cases ensuring correctness and full detail.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate next steps with Patient Services team members to keep cases moving and remove obstacles.
- Safety and Information Requests: Respond promptly to requests for additional information, including those related to detailed adverse reactions.
- Scheduling Support: Partner with the Work Force Manager to support Patient Services scheduling and capacity planning.
- Communications and Mailings: Prepare and send mailings to patients and providers on behalf of OneSource Support Specialists/Case Managers.
- Insights and Improvement: Track enrollment and regional trends to advise informative efforts and process improvements that improve service.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Collecting and reviewing all patient enrollment documents specific to on label therapies
- Supporting Patient Services with patient enrollment activities
- Identifying any restrictions and details on how to expedite patient allocation
- Documenting and initiating access processes
- Entering large amounts of information sourced from various origins into the database and maintaining it
- Verify data by comparing to source documents; update existing data; retrieve data from electronic files
- Checks data from completed forms or other documents for accuracy and completeness and enters into database
- Collaborating with Patient Services team members on next steps regarding enrollments
- Document management
- Responding to additional information requests from Global Patient Services regarding reported adverse events
- Support Work Force Manager with coordinating Patient Services appointments
- Identifying trends related to enrollment forms, as well as regional trends that could require educational opportunities
- Completing quality review of work as part of finalizing patient case
- Send mailings to patients/providers on behalf of the OneSource Support Specialist/Case Manager
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient specific information.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience in specialty pharmacy, patient support programs, or healthcare reimbursement services
- Proficiency with CRM/case management and document management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva, or similar tools)
- Sophisticated Excel/Sheets capability for data reconciliation, pivot tables, and trend analysis
- Knowledge of privacy, compliance, and pharmacovigilance concepts relevant to patient programs
- Proven success running high-volume, fast paced workflows with near‑zero error rates
- Strong written communication for patient/provider correspondence; bilingual capability is a plus
- Proven ability to identify process gaps and implement practical improvements
- Familiarity with rare disease therapies and the unique needs of underserved patient communities
Annual base salary for this position ranges from $127,868 to $167,826. AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days.
