AstraZeneca is building an internal consulting capability in our Global Business Services (GBS) group focused on delivering high-quality project management capabilities to our enterprise organization.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Project management – manage functional projects that are medium complexity and risk and have a mature and supportive partner organisation.

  • Project governance – define, implement, and drive project governance across a mature and supportive partner landscape.

  • Customer engagement – deliver excellent customer service, effective communication, professionalism, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

  • Problem solving – apply effective problem-solving techniques, simplify complex information to create actionable insights.

  • External insight – participate in communities of practice with Project Directors and Managers in the wider team.

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proven track record of managing medium complexity projects in a global organization.

  • Experience managing projects in a global organization.

  • Significant experience and skill presenting in front senior management through written and verbal channels

  • Demonstration of strong, communication and relationship building skills with experience in collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams

  • Experience considering risks, evaluating alternatives, and encouraging input from others to effectively make decisions and plan mitigation tactics

  • Comfortable and skilled in operating in a complex operational matrixed organization across diverse, global teams

  • Excellent business engagement and business acumen with sensitivity to internal and external political/economic environment

Desirable requirements:

  • Management Consulting experience

  • Project Management Certification

  • Change Management Certification

  • Pharmaceutical or equivalent global & complex organization experience; experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
