This is what you will do:
The Business Operations and Commercial Effectiveness Team is a cross functional team, supporting and driving strategy for stakeholders in US Sales, US marketing, launch capabilities, and others. The Business Analytics Manager role will be supporting the Neurology Therapeutic Area. The role will report into the Associate Director, Sales Operations and Business Insights and will work closely with Sales Operations and Business Insights and Commercial Insights & Analytics colleagues. The role will be essential in informing and influencing the Neurology organization by enabling high-quality analytics, evidence-based decision support, development of dashboards and tools and supporting operational needs. The role will work across functions to answer national and regional business questions, profile business trends, support the field sales and marketing teams in analyzing their business performance.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing, leading, and executing qualitative and quantitative analysis projects to address key business questions related to commercial products and or operational data.
- Understanding business needs and leading collaborators across Business Operations and Commercial Effectiveness (BOCE) and / or external partners / Vendors to deliver on key projects, while functioning as the subject matter expert (SME)
- Responding to ad hoc requests for insights, delivering material in a succinct and effective manner to fulfill communication needs with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of accuracy, appropriate context on data and insights / narratives as needed.
- Supporting strategy and execution of data quality, Master Data Management, and data strategy initiatives
- Supporting CRM strategy and operational needs for Sales and Marketing teams
- Supporting system and data initiatives in product launches
- Acting as SME for cross system / cross vendor data integration initiatives
- Supporting process improvement and operational efforts with sales and brand teams
- Acting as an internal knowledge expert and partner with stakeholders in Neurology, working collaboratively with respective teams(s) as well as other cross-company and cross-functional partners to develop tools, dashboards, reporting and process improvements.
- Managing competing priorities by setting clear expectations with stakeholders, maintaining clear and regular communications, working with Neurology Insights and Operations teammates and allocating time effectively between multiple priorities.
- Executing all work in an appropriate and compliant manner consistent with the values of the organization, working with internal teams to define and revise procedures and policies as needed.
- Developing strong partnerships with cross-functional teams - Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, and others.
- Ensuring relevant team members are engaged at key stages of projects to ensure that critical business questions are adequately addressed.
You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Data Science and/or Business / Marketing
- At least 4 years of experience in advanced analytics and reporting – ideally within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Deep knowledge of data manipulation, harmonization and integration for analytics purposes
- Experience in user centric dashboard design / development
- Experience building mockups, mark ups, Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Ability to translate business need to technical resources / collaborators and drive outcomes
- Ability to root out data quality concerns and drive resolution
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels in the organization.
- Confidence in requirements gathering and stakeholder management at all levels
- Ability to lead projects independently and communicate with leadership stakeholders
- Ability to generate insight from complex and disparate data sources
- Ability to travel <10% of time
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, are mandatory requirements
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. We would prefer for you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science and/or MBA/PhD degree - Marketing, Market Research, Statistics.
- Experience in advanced analytics in healthcare, research /consulting, or pharmaceutical/biotech company
- Experience with specialty and/or orphan/rare disease therapies.
- Storytelling abilities
- Expertise in analytical tools such as SQL, QLIK, Tableau
- Experience with external data such as claims data, EMR and 3rd party practitioner data
- Proven experience with CRM, alignment and analytical applications
- Expertise with MDM
- Statistical, regression and other analytics skills
