The Axial Programme (Global S/4HANA implementation)
AstraZeneca (AZ) is in a period of strong growth and our employees have a united purpose to make a difference to patients around the world who need both our medicines and the ongoing developments from our science. In this journey AZ must continue to work across borders and with partners and new colleagues in a fast and seamless way. The ambition, size and complexity of the organisation, coupled with the opportunities afforded by new technology, has led the Board to approve an Enterprise transformation programme (Axial) providing the opportunity for AZ to transform how it operates to support our growth and patient experience ambitions for the future.
Our current technology is used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. So a significant part of this programme is the transformation of the IT landscape to simplify the system landscape and processes and the replacement of our current ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems with one global solution.
This programme requires the best. Whether it be the technical skills, business understanding or change leadership, we want to ensure we have the strongest team deployed throughout. The programme seeks to deliver an elite change programme that leaves all employees with a fuller understanding of their role in the end-to-end nature of our global company. This programme will provide AZ with a driven edge, to the benefits of its employees and patients.
Introduction to the role
The ‘Axial Data Deployment Lead - Clinical Supply’ has the primary objective of ensuring overall data readiness clinical supply to enable the successful deployment of S/4 HANA. The Data Deployment Lead is responsible for defining and owning the global data deployment approach and plan for clinical supply, aligning with input from data design, data cleanse, data migration, testing and change teams. Pro-active engagement with the clinical supply business teams, cross-SET areas, and the Central Axial Team is required to ensure that data deployment activities are understood and delivered in accordance with Axial programme milestones.
While the program is set up to migrate data from ECC to S/4, greenfield sites and/or greenfield process (new to AZ) will require significant coordination to collect data in various “build templates” thus some level of expertise how data is used in various processes will be an important capability of the Local Data Deployment Lead.
The role sits within the clinical supply deployment team and is also closely aligned to the central Axial Data team.
