Introduction to Role:
We are seeking an Associate Director for our US Commercial Field Force Deployment & Sales Force Effectiveness team. This role is pivotal to the success of Alexion’s US business and the Commercial Operations organization. The successful candidate will lead, develop, and support processes that drive our rapidly growing Commercial organization from a Deployment and Sales Force Effectiveness perspective. This includes all critical drivers of Alexion’s Deployment Strategy/Framework such as segmentation, targeting, field sizing & structure, alignments, and execution. Accountabilities:
The Associate Director will provide strategic leadership to develop and advance Alexion’s Deployment strategy in order to achieve operational excellence. This includes partnering with key collaborators, leading the development and execution of our Deployment Framework, directing the quarterly alignment process for assigned Business Units, and managing the roster for assigned business units. The incumbent will also collaborate with key partners to manage, oversee plan, and implement major and minor field force realignments.
Essential Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years of related health care industry experience: pharmaceuticals, strategy consulting
• Advanced knowledge of Field Force Deployment and Sales Force Effectiveness processes
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate optimal sales territory alignments
• Strong business sense with knowledge of the pharmaceutical US industry
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Advanced command on analytical tools (e.g., MS Excel, Access)
Desirable Skills/Experience:
• Pharmaceutical Sales Experience
• Master’s degree or MBA
• Territory Design software experience i.e. Javelin Territory Designer or similar
• Excellent written and verbal skills and strong interpersonal skills
• High level of proficiency in MS Office software including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
