Position Summary

Alexion is strengthening its’ Finance team to manage sustained growth of the core Commercial indications and expansion of activities within R&D. This position will report into the Iberia Finance Lead, Spain. 

The Site Coordinator & Finance Support position will be in charge of supporting the full Alexion facilities and Finance& Commercial Operations department.  This role will have as main responsibilities: Car Fleet management, Site providers management, marketing company transversal role of procurement support and finance& commercial operations support, supporting all the teams involved together with overall finance support.

Principal responsabilities

Develop and implement a monthly/quarterly vendor analysis (marketing company focus) report and action plan for the principal vendors with high OPEX volume. Be proactive in identifying business challenges & opportunities, together with AZ umbrella, and offering solutions.

Develop and ensure KPIs to be tracked on a regular basis, insightful analysis with clear recommendations for all internal stakeholders to keep all general services bookings up to date. On a second phase, develop best practices among the support functions in Alexion Iberia and become an internal reference (champion) between support functions.

Manage all entire process of requisition to pay related to Alexion site facilities and Finance and Commercial operations department.

Facilitate the integration of AZ Coupa (and any other AZ system affecting to Requisition to pay process) providing support to all functions.

Respond with high quality to ad hoc project requests with a sense of urgency and fully addressing the needs of stakeholders

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

Education and qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Accounting or Admin Support. Procurement previous experience will be a plus
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, and Coupa is a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and in writing) and ability to translate analysis for various stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • Self-starter who demonstrates energy and enthusiasm, bringing a positive can-do approach to all challenges
  • Fluency in English both written and oral mandatory
