As the ServiceNow developer for Core, you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and customizing the platform according to business requirements.  Your primary focus will be to provide extensive experience and an enthusiasm for delivering top-notch software solutions. The ideal candidate should possess both independent and collaborative working abilities following the best practices and AstraZeneca standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and Customization: Lead the development and customization of ServiceNow modules and applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and established coding standards. Implement customizations as needed to meet specific requirements.

Technical Capability:  Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code requires expertise to achieve. Code reviews and quality control checks should be undertaken as part of every project to guarantee maximum efficiency and productivity.

Incident Management: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues by working closely with support teams to address and resolve incidents and problems.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation plans, and user guides.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with federated teams, and end-users to understand their needs, gather feedback, and continuously improve the solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience as a ServiceNow developer, with a focus on IT Business Management.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow core platform capability principles and best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and features.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integration techniques and third-party integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • ServiceNow certifications are highly desirable.

Good to Have:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams for ServiceNow development projects.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS, and other related technologies for ServiceNow development.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
