Introduction to Role:

Join our dynamic Operations team as a Logistics Specialist, where you'll be part of a team that establishes and maintains the global standards and processes for the transportation and storage of all AstraZeneca pharmaceutical products. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational implementation of these standards & processes around the world. You'll assess routes, monitor performance, understand trends, manage complaints, and support the excellent operational performance of our global network.

Accountabilities:

As a Logistics Specialist, you'll deploy and maintain Process Controlled Transportation standards & procedures. You'll develop Route Risk Assessment (RRA or equivalent experience) standards & procedures and establish new transportation lanes with Freight Forwarders. Conducting RRA to ensure appropriate temperature and security controls are employed will be a key part of your role. You'll also work with the PCT CoE to identify systemic network/system failures and support the development of successful solutions to ensure sustainable PCT.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- A minimum of 3 years prior experience in the logistics area

- Experience in the distribution of products from a multi-plant/multi-distribution centre environment

- Proven analytic skills

- Fluent in English

- Higher education qualification

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Management Science or other relevant subject area

- Extensive experience in technical support and quality management

- Understanding of transport qualification, process validation, cold chain logistics industry standards, and validation compliance

- Pharmaceutical/Bio pharmaceutical experience
