Our Enterprise DataOps services provide the foundations for enabling AstraZeneca’s bold ambition - to be the pioneers in science, leaders in our disease areas, and transforming  patient outcomes. This position combines strategic vision with hands-on technical expertise to drive innovation in Data Engineering and Data Management.

A counterpart role already established in the UK will focus on transformation projects, such as retiring legacy technologies and introducing new platforms. The new role, based in Guadalajara Mexico, will focus predominantly on operating existing services, with opportunities to support transformation projects.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities will evolve over time as the way we manage our data evolves. They will include but will not be restricted to leading and carrying out the following.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DataOps practices into existing workflows.

3. Technology Stack Management

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance the organization's DataOps capabilities.
  • Manage and optimize the technology stack, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and performance standards.

4. Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Provide guidance on technical challenges and ensure professional development opportunities for team members.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data requirements and ensure that DataOps services meet business needs.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and Business Units, fostering strong communication and understanding.

6. Quality Assurance
