Job Description

W The Contract Guidance Analyst is a member of the Contract Guidance & Enablement team within the GBS (Global Business Services) – Compliance, Legal and Contracting Operations (CLCO) group and is responsible for driving AstraZeneca’s portfolio of drug products by providing business support for external services and collaborations.  This role is required to technical and administrative aspects relating to the contracting end-to-end process in terms of routing the organization and providing guidance on what process should be used.  The scope will include maintenance of the triage/intake form, decision tree routing and transactional support with global coverage.  The role will also have duties relating to contract storage in order to support an index, seek and search capability.  Maintenance of the governance, process and guidance documentation and communication will also be a part of the role’s duties.

A successful candidate will have a project management mentality with a focus on responsiveness, partnering to conduct operational tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements and will provide guidance to partners (customers), management and peers.

Accountabilities

Triage Form and Decision Tree Operations

  • Support efficient routing processes (eg. maintenance intake form questions and routing and updating with Service Now platform)
  • Support as the main point of contact for queries relating to Contracting Services, including blocking issues and address in a timely manner
  • Operation of process, governance and guidelines relating to Contracting, including documentation and communication
  • Contribution to generation of data and metrics and its performance
  • Manage timely delivery and resolution of ad hoc queries from customers
  • Track and analyze patterns in received questions related to Contracting Services to ensure continuous improvement of operated processes and informational content on Contracting Services (e.g. supervising frequently asked questions)

Contracting Portal

  • Maintenance of Contracting Portal technical set up and content
  • Producing content for the Contracting Portal to reflect spotted query patterns and needs for content modifications according to the customer needs

Contract Storage and Technology

  • Input documents to the technology supporting the contract mine
  • Support users in seek and search functionality
  • Input into the contract mine any documentation in the process for intake/pass over of volume of contracts resulting from M&A or Divestment
  • Ensure system and data issues are flagged and dealt with according to service level agreements
  • Maintain tracker/dashboards/systems to be able to generate useful reports to customers (activity owners, business leaders, etc.)

Maintain and ensure data integrity and accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of updates. Assimilate and adopt new systems, tools, and processes where these are required for delivering the role.

Requirements

•            Bachelor’s Degree (general business, managed health care, legal or finance disciplines are preferred) or equivalent experience

•           Fluent English

•           Able to prioritize, work to deadlines and turnaround times, work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios

•           Solid attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

•           Capable of working independently but also take instruction and direction from others

•           High ethical standards, credible, operating with absolute discretion

•           Proactive and consultative customer service, having the ability to identify customer needs and respond creatively, listening to information, asking probing questions, applying knowledge, and determining solutions

Desirable

•           An understanding of the bio-pharmaceutical market

•           Good Project Management/Organization Skills

•           Previous contract development or related experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or related industry.
