CoE Talent & Development Lead

Part of your main responsibilities are:

  • Create and update local learning content by managing development planning, being full responsible for Talent & Development process across all SET areas partnering with HRBP to ensure right succession plan for BCR´s (Hipo+)
  • Works with line managers and Recruitment Partners to understand future needs, develop and deliver appropriate strategies and populate external talent pools
  • Leads the transformation of professional capability development within AZ through the planning, effective definition and operational delivery of an integrated BUSINESS area development proposition
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of the Local Talent Strategy aligned with the Global Talent Ambition, Corporate Requirements and External Trends, with special focus on developing our Successors of our Business-Critical Roles. Also, guarantee the Identification of Talent Pool for all the organizational levels through our Talent Review Process and promote key initiatives like Development Career Pathways to support the Business Continuity at medium and large term.
  • Create the learning and development strategy and establish our annual agenda to meet the business vision and organizational changes. Also, define the local leadership development strategy strengthening the critical capabilities for the future.
  • Influence and Lead the Culture of Performance & Development through the promotion and implementation of our global processes like Performance Review (e.g., Quarterly Check In) based on our philosophy of “What”, “How”, “So What”. And collaborate with HRBPs to design and implement key initiatives that guarantee the adequate level of performance of our organization.
  • Support from the Learning and Organizational Development perspective the People Strategy of Mexico per Set Areas (GITC, Operations Plant and Marketing & Sales), including review of business plan, key workforce trends and implications, as well as external labor market issues.
  • Ensure Compliance in terms of training with the Local Labor Authorities and Global Talent Policies for the 3 set areas of Mexico. Also, ensure the adequate planning and management of the Local Training budget (Main Focus on Soft Skills) and Collaborate with HR team members to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the organization's culture and values.
  • Lead the implementation and participation in our internal and external employer rankings, including employee surveys like Pulse (action planning, and follow-up).
  • Design and implementation of the D&I strategy focused on different pillars such as Gender, generations, LGBT+ and disabilities, with the aim of living a diverse culture that positively impacts the success of the company and that allows AZ to be positioned as a top employer for diverse talent.

Essential Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of up to date theories of professional development, management development, learning theory, training methodologies and channels
  • A strong track record in effective engagement and partnering of Senior Management Team
  • Design experience of professional development interventions and materials
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Skill in soliciting input and evaluating business, client and candidate needs addressing concerns.  Ability to influence, challenge and deliver constructive advice, diagnose and resolve problems and positively influence change
  • Fluent English
  • University Degree
