Introduction to role
We are strengthening our Sales team in Sweden and as a Key Account Manager in the Primary care team, you will become part of AstraZeneca’s strong Cardiovascular – Renal – Metabolic franchise (CVRM), one of our key growth platforms. Our responsibility includes key cardiovascular brands where we have a strong heritage and new treatments and indications to be launched in the future. The role will focus on diabetes type 2, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. Be part of delivering our vision to be the leader in Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism, Respiratory, and Immunology by 2025.
You will drive sales activities towards general practitioners in the primary care sector. The role is Field based and responsible for Uppland, Västmanland, and Gävleborg.
Accountabilities
• Pro-actively identifying business opportunities, communicating value propositions aligned to customer needs and objectives, and recommending solutions to drive and develop business
• Develop robust understanding of needs and perceptions of prescribers and other key partners
• Drive cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration to fully maximize AZ's account management capabilities
• Secure account and market access by driving activities with the right customers within the right accounts
• Build, develop and manage long-term external relationships
• Drive and implement our digital and omnichannel approach towards our customers.
Essential Skills/Experience
• Relevant sales experience, preferable – but not required – from Pharma industry
• An academic degree or an equivalent healthcare or commercial background (LIF training, MGU)
• The ability to understand and communicate complex information, flexibility to adopt scientific data
• A strong commercial innovation mindset – the ability and a proven track-record of developing, shaping and completing impactful, customer/stakeholder focused activities to achieve long-term business goals
• Strong digital skills and able to drive omnichannel approach
• Good leadership skills - ability to coordinate, align and engage cross-functional team to drive activities and address needs of individual accounts
• A true teammate with high trustworthiness
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proficient in both written and spoken English and Swedish
• Ability and readiness to travel within region and according to role needs
• Driver´s license required.
