Role description

Maximize the potential of the AstraZeneca therapeutic portfolio through professional and successful working relationships with internal and external customers. Manage the promotion, pricing, and positioning of the products in the relevant therapeutic portfolio, pre-post Launch strategy, development of a disease area vision and strategy, and effective resource allocation in order to optimize sales and profits. Strategize, write and implement the marketing plan for the brand.

Typical Accountabilities

Operational Brand Management & Customer Excellence 

Fully accountable for building & driving the brand strategy by providing customer insights acquired during interactions with external and internal customers

Participate in the development of the Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the MarketingHead

Drive the full implementation of the operational Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the key functional team members

Keep the Business Action Plan updated and implement the plan to ensure that Brand objectives are realized, including revising the S&T to ensure complete coverage /expansion of the target list as per marketing strategy

Lead the operational roll-out of the pre-agreed strategic and operational plan (campaign task force, monthly implementation meetings)

Identify potential new market insight and collaborate with Market Intelligence to leverage all critical market data to refine action plans or prioritize activities.

Develop and understand market research principles / sources/ tools/ methodology

Work with local data to contribute to forecasting models.

Communication & Promotion 

Develop all campaign material and all the briefing documents to ensure maximum impact 

Briefing and selection of agency and review performance of agency and costs to ensure optimal use of available financial resources 

-Actively collaborate with the medical/Access team and/or Sales team with other support functions to ensure alignment with strategy. 

Be actively involved and leading of regional and national sales meetings/business reviews as required 

Ensure full compliance of material/activities with ethical and Code of Ethics (demonstrate and ensure active respect for values, business ethics, local laws, policies, and marketing procedures) 

Propose budget spending on the defined territory & is responsible for accurate budget management 

Prepare cost estimates for current activities, advertising / informing about AstraZeneca brand products, and investment budgets. 

Responsible for the implementation of promotional/communication strategies, plans, and programs in support of brand strategies and objectives 

Stakeholder Management 

Build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal/external clients. 

Lead Brand Team, develop and implement plans for KEE development & marketing strategy implementation. 

Cooperates with Sales Managers to empower sales force, strengthening their capacity to implement business strategy. 

Field visits at regular intervals to gain insight on current and future marketing initiatives and ensure correct product information is delivered, providing training to the sales team on the promotional materials and product strategy, addresses internal/external questions in regards to brand strategy and promotional materials Report on the status of implementation of the tactical plan to internal customers. 

Proactive assessment of brand performance, proposing needed actions to tap on opportunities, working without supervision, successfully addressing outstanding challenges of marketing strategy implementation. 

Maintain close with KEE’s and other key customers, including those who have significant influence in the purchasing decisions with major hospitals/institutions for the assigned products. 

Corporate responsibility: Maintains highest ethical standards and works in the spirit of AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, following rules & norms set by corporate policies 

Ensure that all conducted activities are done in accordance with local legislation and corporate standards. 


- MS office skills (Word, PPT, Excel) proficiency Effective and collaborative communication skills


- Education: bachelor’s degrees and above

- Language: Fluent English communication skills (speaking/writing)

- Work Experience: 

Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing

OTC(Over the counter) marketing experience – preferred

Vaccine marketing expereince - preferred

- Competencies :

Effective decision-maker, result driven to overcome issues or conflict by keeping compliance / Self confidence / Project and time management skills
