We are looking for Sales Managers to deliver our ambition by leading and developing a capable sales or medical representative workforce in the industry.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Sales Manager, you have a pivotal role in building, coaching and ensuring the capability of our sales or medical representatives in promoting the science of our life-changing medicines to healthcare professionals and in delivering our business objectives. Your job responsibilities include:

  • District Sales Achievement
    • Ensure optimal execution of plans of action and territory plans.
    • Regularly review achievement of district sales against targets and initiate appropriate actions to ensure performance is in line with objectives.
    • Ensure enlistment of newly launched and key products in hospitals and clinics by planned date.

  • District Business Planning
    • Develop deep understanding of customers, territory and competitors.
    • Develop district Business Plan based on key objectives and allocate resources (e.g. coaching time, budget) for optimal sales impact.
    • Monitor district business plan to ensure resources are directed to territories, hospitals and customers of greatest potential.
    • Monitor Medical Representatives business plans to ensure appropriateness of actions.

  • Coaching and Team Development
    • Provide coaching to Medical Representatives to develop their competencies and capabilities.
    • Provide team training as required to address collective development needs.
    • Actively manage performance within the team.
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive and motivate team.

  • Customer Focus and Service
  • Build deep relationship with customers.
  • Ensure accuracy of customer database and target segmentation.
  • Leverage key customer relationships to gain market intelligence and to assist successful formulary listing.
  • Monitor stock at district level key accounts/ distributors and advise on customer inventories.

  • Personal Development
  • Develop behaviours leading to enhanced effectiveness as outlined in First Line Sales Manager capability framework.
  • Communicate, develop and role model AstraZeneca culture and leadership behaviours.

Essential Requirements:

  • You have at least 2 years of sales management experience in the healthcare industry
  • You enjoy selling and are sales target driven
  • You have a degree in Pharmacy/Science/Business/Marketing or related areas
  • You have strong comprehension and communication skill in English

Desirable Requirements:

  • You have prior industry and/or sales experience
