The role may entail either a managerial role, offering leadership, and contributions to the Patient Safety (PS) organization through managing different activities within the patient safety function. And/or It could be a technical role, leading small projects or specific segments of larger, innovative international projects, utilizing specialized expertise in a particular subject area. Both roles will be responsible for managing risk by making evaluative judgments in complex situations.
• The job holder is a professional expert in the Patient Safety function, equipped with a profound understanding of local health authority regulations and global Patient Safety requirements. They will oversee and manage all patient safety-related processes, activities, issues, and gaps at the country level, taking charge of necessary actions to address them effectively.
• Provides support and advice on processes and strategy as an expert or through the supervision of a local team.
• The role required analytical skills to provide analysis and trending of data or collaborate with stakeholders to identify trends through project management.
• Execution skill is required to support the development and implementation of the Patient Safety process and strategy at the local level to achieve overall business objectives.
• The Role holders will be deemed experts in their field and will be expected to add input into significant important decisions and projects, typically on a multi-country or local level.
• The position holder may also manage junior roles (Matrix Manager)
Essential
- Qualified degree in Pharmacy/ Medical/ Science
- Understanding of the PMD Act, relevant regulations, GCP/GVP/GPSP, and guidelines
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis
- Expertise in medical/pharmaceutical science in general
- Process improvement skill such as 6 sigma
- Assertive communication and negotiation skills - know when and how to communicate, using strong
- interpersonal skills and written communication when appropriate
- Business English (required to communicate with Global team verbally)
- Strategic Influencing - through well-thought-out rationale and effective communication skills, able to influence key decisions
