Job Description

■ 職務内容 / Job Description

The Assistant Manager of the Center of Excellence (CoE) will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and operational excellence within AstraZeneca's Japan R&D organization. This role will focus on drug project governance process, business analysis, change management, and business transformation initiatives in collaboration with the Project Management (PM) and Business Intelligence and Capacity Management (BICM) groups. The CoE is integral to ensuring that the Japan R&D team operates efficiently and effectively while aligning with AstraZeneca's global standards and strategic objectives.
Under the direction of the Manager, the Assistant Manager, CoE will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, interacting with various stakeholders across AstraZeneca's global and Japan R&D teams. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s strategic direction and operational excellence.

•    Drug Project Governance Process
o    Project Governance Process: Assist in managing the drug project governance framework, continuously support the evaluation and enhancement of drug project governance processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality. 
o    Operational Model: Help in maintain and upgrading the operational model to ensure it meets the evolving needs of the organization.
•    Business Analysis
o    Business Analysis Support: Assist in conducting comprehensive business analysis across both drug and non-drug projects to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement or needs, as per Head of PPM’s discretion. This includes analyzing workflows, resource utilization, process effectiveness, and business transformation opportunities.
•    Change Management and Business Transformation
o    Change Management: Assist in the implementation of change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes, tools, and methodologies.
o    Business Transformation: Support business transformation projects that align with the strategic vision of Japan R&D, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
•    Center of Excellence Development
o    Best Practices Implementation: Contribute to identifying and implementing best practices in project management together with PM groups, governance, and business analysis to position the CoE as a key driver of excellence within Japan R&D.
•    Collaboration and Alignment
o    Stakeholder Collaboration: Assist in working closely with the Head of PPM and other key stakeholders, including the Project Management (PM) and Business Intelligence and Capacity Management (BICM) groups, to support alignment and coherence in project execution and outcomes. Additionally, help collaborate with relevant GPPM to gather Japan's input, assist in reviewing, and support the timely rollout of global governance processes in Japan. Work under the guidance of manager to keep Japan's drug project governance framework and operational model aligned with global processes and remain up-to-date.
