The AstraZeneca Mt. Vernon site was established in 1972 and is the flagship site delivering innovative, life changing oral solid medicines. At the site we formulate and pack OSD tablets and capsules for over 60+ markets. The Mt Vernon site is complex, the largest AZ production site in the US with over 700+ employees.  We are located in the southwest corner of the state of Indiana, approximately 15 miles from Evansville, Indiana – the third largest city in the state.  The Mt. Join us as a Digital Project Manager, a key implementor in enabling the MTV Operations Lean Digital Strategy. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to achieving and exceeding business objectives and drive the delivery of innovative business solutions. You will be working closely with IT, the Digital Lighthouse team, OpEx and the business to execute new technology projects. This role requires excellent communication skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to effectively challenge, influence and negotiate.

Accountabilities:
As a Digital Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering digital projects ensuring process, people and funding is delivered on time. You will execute communication strategies and apply change management principles. You will partner with the PMO team to ensure that the projects follow the site’s PMO Governance process. You will conduct Lean process mapping within use case areas to ensure the business problems are fully understood and customer requirements are mapped. You will also provide an oversight of local and global initiatives around digitalization.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Science, Business, Supply Chain, or other related pharmaceutical science.
- A minimum of 3 years of project management and/or relevant work experience with preference in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience of successfully deploying a variety of business analysis tools/techniques to enable business change.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies including process mapping, problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience leading change projects in matrixed environments.
- Strong engagement, communication and stakeholder management skills, including excellent presentation and influencing skills.
- Experience of working in a regulated environment.
- Experience of virtual collaboration to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated Project Management Skills.
- Ability to challenge, negotiation and influence.
- Manage stakeholders both internal and external.

- Self-motivated with high degree of adaptability in dealing with an ambiguous, complex, and fast-paced work environment.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Lean SIX SIGMA training.
- Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context.
- Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge.
- Broad understanding of Supply Chain processes and systems.
- Manufacturing knowledge.
- Supply Chain knowledge.
- Competent in lean methodology.
- Compliance & GMP knowledge.
- Business Process Management.
