This role provides leadership for the end-to-end delivery of product(s) roadmap across the AstraZeneca Canada (AZC) business and will also be instrumental in ensuring that the product owners are leading and managing the change effectively as to not redefine the business.

This person will take initiative and be the driver to resolve issues and partners closely with customer groups, specifically the product owner, to ensure the requirements are clear and timelines are reasonable.

Solution and Project Delivery Manager will assist in coordinating local and global teams to support the initiatives and ensure a smooth and timely transition.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure business outcomes and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budget.
  • Lead and liaise with global and local businesses, functions and service partners, including external vendors on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with all business partners to ensure that they are managing the privacy and IT Cyber security assessment processes in alignment with their project objectives and priorities.
  • Considerable experience and success in driving innovation, process improvement, and Technology & Digital delivery for a Pharma company in the areas of CRM and/or Salesforce.com/Veeva.
  • Foster strong program governance and execution assurance processes, integrating project plans at a program level, refining as needed and running outcomes in line with the business objectives.
  • Handle the delivery of projects with multiple partners and technical, business and data components.
  • Facilitate and/or manage the gathering of business requirements enterprise-wide from BUs and Functions and develop detailed project plans and artifacts.
  • Run program level communications, including status reports, and provide senior leadership team with timely updates on operational program issues.
  • Establish processes to identify program/project issues and risks, resolves complex program issues, and raises viable solutions as required.
  • Ensure contingency plans are identified and implemented.
  • Build metrics and manage with a higher level of information (i.e., at the trends and management indicator level); differentiates between project and program metrics.

  • Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Agile Certification and/or Business Analyst Certification is a definite asset
  • 3-5 years as an IT Project Manager or Business Systems Analyst.
  • Good Experience in leading various projects of work and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience with Veeva CRM, Veeva Network, Veeva Vault Promo Mats, Veeva Link.
  • Ability to work across Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid environment.
  • Solid Project Management skills, including managing project scope, time, cost, and quality.
  • Strong ability in understanding the business needs to build out requirements and user stories.
  • Ability to lead, negotiate and communicate effectively with customers while building highly collaborative teams.
  • Experience working with Dev, QA, BA, and Production support teams both locally and globally.
  • Have a solid grasp of project/change delivery concepts from initiation to closure.
  • Hands on level experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS PowerApps, MS Power BI, MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and other project management tools.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo, think out of the box and implement new insights
