Senior Manager, Global Medical Affairs Business Operations Partner

As a Senior Manager, Global Medical Affairs Business Operations Partner, you'll be at the forefront of driving and running sophisticated global initiatives within the Global Medical Affairs organization.
This role is pivotal in coordinating activities among Medical Affairs leaders and non-Medical Affairs business partners, serving as the Single Point of Contact for key operations such as Finance & Accruals, Contracting, HCP/AdBoard engagement, and Performance Management.
You'll multitask across various projects, both locally and internationally, ensuring seamless delivery and strategic alignment.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for execution, partnership, and strategic collaboration for specific brands or disease/functional areas.
- Serve as single point of contact for respective business partners.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of the key GMA Business Operations Activities within functions: Finance & Accruals, Contracting, HCP/AdBoard engagement, and Performance Management.
- Provide business operational leadership for Medical Directors/Therapeutic Area (TA) leads as a key thought partner, including but not limited to the process of developing annual strategic and tactical medical plans!
- Coordinate regular updates on Medical Affairs goals using tools and processes for senior management awareness.
- Key partner in ensuring tactical plans are in alignment with corporate business goals and led proactively.
- Provide operational leadership of Business Reviews for the TA as needed.
- Optimally connect with Medical Affairs Leadership and team members on updates to their plans, and to provide insight and direction into management interventions when needed or advised.
- Find opportunities for continuous improvement with both internal processes and how external vendors are used/engaged; carry out and operationalize improvements efficiently and effectively.
- Manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously, and make sure all deliverables are done within agreed upon timeframes.
- Maintain high level network of contacts within the organization.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop Project Management methodology and policies and implement in various locations.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2 years of related experience, pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to implement projects of strategic importance.
- Experience/ability to work in a matrix cross-functional environment, both onsite and remotely.
- Consistent track record to handle budget, and internal & external resources.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects timely with client happiness.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven track record and ability to achieve results as an effective team member and project leader.
- Ability to professionally work well with all levels of the organization.
- Exercises foresight and judgment in making sophisticated decisions. Acts independently with good judgement, when needed.
- Strong business insight, analysis, problem solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and negotiating skills.
- Adaptability, the capability to adjust to evolving project scope and direction; especially as projects demand critical thinking and solutions.
- Must demonstrate an energy and passion which brings a positive approach to all challenges.
- High ethics and integrity standards; ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. Desirable Skills/Experience
- Relevant advanced degree or equivalent experience (e.g., MD, PhD, MBA) preferred.
