Project and Portfolio Management Associate Director, OBU Global Medical Affairs

We are seeking an Indication Project Manager who will drive strategic planning and execution within our Oncology Business Unit (OBU). This role involves overseeing projects, managing budgets, supporting medical planning, and coordinating cross-functional teams at an asset or indication level. Reporting directly to a Tumor Portfolio Director, you'll collaborate closely with a Medical Head/Senior Global Medical Leader and their teams. Based in Warsaw and Mississauga, Canada, this position requires strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and decisive action to support the broader goals of OBU Medical.
Accountabilities:
Partner with Medical Head and GMALs to progress asset strategies from conceptualization to implementation.
Ensure efficient functioning of the Medical Implementation Team (MIT) and connectivity with Integrated Business Team (IBT).
Lead effective meeting management for assets with clear agendas and action items.
Facilitate budget and strategic workforce planning across functional groups.
Responsible for strategic planning for key franchise team deliverables.
Facilitate Externally Sponsored Research (ESR) Review committee meetings.
Drive External Engagement Planning and execution.
Coordinate and assist senior GMAL in preparation of presentations and communications.
Drive continuous improvement on ways of working.
Partner with Tumor Portfolio Leader to shape portfolio strategy.
Accountable for implementation of medical standards.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or life science. MBA / Ph.D. desired.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry or regulated medical products industry.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Affairs, Commercial, and R&D organizations (Global, regional, or local).
Demonstrated project management experience in a matrix environment.
Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands.
Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment.
Experience working in a global setting, managing stakeholders across different time zones.
Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership.
Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Graduate level degree in sciences or business degree.
Six Sigma Medical/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification is a plus but not required.
Depth of understanding of medical, scientific and/or commercial pharmaceutical marketplace of Oncology.
