        Commercial Analyst

Location: Milan, Italy

Reports To: Head of Commercial Operation and Digital

This is what you will do:

The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for quantitative and qualitative analytics providing product, patient and customer knowledge information to the Sales and Marketing teams. The position will interact closely with the International Commercial Analytics team.

The position will be based at Milan Office.

You will be responsible for:

Business Insights Generation

  • Support and guarantee a smooth implementation of the Commercial team Governance, representing the Commercal Excellence function within multiple Brand Teams and Regional Sales Meetings
  • As a Subject Matter Expert; proactively develops innovative forecasting models/assumptions, to evaluate current and future business for our Sales and Marketing departments
  • Support the Commercial leading functions in fulfilling the PROPEL governance and business case generation when required
  • Act as local data steward being responsible of the correctness and coherence of information provided internally, ensuring the appropriate correction process where necessary
  • Gather together and analyze data from Market Researches and feed the results with insights and recommendations to support decision-making, identify market trends, and improve competitiveness.

Reporting

  • Proactively lead generation of analysis and insights on all the therapeutic areas, presenting key findings to function leads and leadership as necessary
  • Identify and recommend Key Performance Indicators (such as sales trend, coverage of target, concentration curve) to describe and better understand trend, variances and performance
  • Partner with Franchise Leads and Sales Leads to design and launch the Sales Incentives Plans. Ensuring accurate payouts and visibility of the results. Help plan for and build effective Sales incentive schemes to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Develop a set of analysis to dive into the data and highlight business insight useful and relevant to internal stakeholders like emerging product trends, common behaviors of customers
  • Optimize existing reports improving usability and structure with a long term Focus leveraging the existing technology (e.g PowerBI)
  • Create innovative dashboards by using advanced statistical and visualizing tools (Geographical visualization of performance, interactive graphs and dashboards…) that supports business decisions for the Sales and Marketing
  • Run standard periodic reports (sales trend, report on Field force Activity, coverage of customer target and frequency of visits…)

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Create and support implementation of CRM Tools for all new Sales Lines associated with new launches
  • Maintain correct functionality of the CRM reporting systems and ensure good quality of data stored into them. Manage autonomously the troubleshooting of the system (require corrections of bugs, monitor reporting on status, manage recovery and temporary plan for long term resolutions
  • Design and conduct local training for new employees. Plan and deliver update sessions when necessary.
  • Collect enhancement requests from users and manage appropriate system updates with EMEA and Global team.

You will need to have:

  • 4+ years analytical and reporting experience; preferably in Pharma Industry and Management Consulting Industry
  • Fluent in English as mandatory
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Preferred knowledge of SAP and statistical packages
  • Preferred experience with VEEVA (or other CRM) and Spotfire (or similar data visualization technology).
  • Strong experience using technology to work efficiently with datasets such as scripting and statistical software packages.
  • The knowledge of PowerQuery and PowerBi is preferred.
  • Strong writing and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deal with multiple functions and stakeholders
  • Experience in modelling and dashboard preparation
  • Ability to work independently, subject matter expert in its field
  • Ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Motivated and able to demonstrate initiative
