Solution Preparation Technician

We are excited to invite a skilled and detail-oriented Solution Preparation Technician to join our technically advanced Solution Preparation unit within the production team at AstraZeneca. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing and preparation of componentsused in dispensing, ensuring high standards of quality and precision to support our manufacturing processes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading global pharmaceutical company and play a key part in the delivery of life-changing medicines.

What you’ll do

The Solution Preparation Technicians is responsible for playing a critical role for our business. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Preparing components for batchdispensing operation.

  • Dispensing of raw material for batch manufacture

  • Following GMP protocols and standard operating procedures

  • Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and other teams to solve technical problems and work on process improvements

Essential for the role

  • Demonstrated experience working in a regulated and similar environment

  • Clear understanding of safety and GMP is in the workplace.  

  • Strong attention to details, particularly with accurate weighing and measurement of materials, following precise documentation requirements and physical capability to safely handle materials and equipment

  • Advanced problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in an agile and

  • flexible team

  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ideally in dispensing operation and raw material handlingwould be advantageous but not essential.

  • Knowledge of SAP warehouse and material management systems for batch dispensing workflows

  • Desirables for the role

  • Knowledge of clean room operations and gowning procedures

  • Understanding of material segregation and cross-contamination prevention practices

  • Familiarity with GMP documentation requirements and weighing equipment
