Job Title: ATTR Healthcare Development Manager

Location: Field based role covering the North

Introduction to role:

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the healthcare sector? As an ATTR Healthcare Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of amyloidosis care. This commercial position involves regional accountability, where you'll forge partnerships with regional amyloidosis centres of care, delivering value to both the NHS and AstraZeneca. Your mission is to drive the formation of the UK amyloidosis network and enhancing system capacity for increased diagnosis rates.

Accountabilities:

  • Anticipate patient access barriers and opportunities to create and implement plans that optimize pathways and accelerate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Establish networks to identify and capture relevant opportunities, attending conferences to seek out potential collaborations.
  • Collaborate with the head office cross-functional team to provide customer insights that inform AstraZeneca's pathway optimization strategy.
  • Increase regional diagnosis rates for amyloidosis patients.
  • Deliver compelling cases for change based on national and local insights.
  • Partner with regional stakeholders to increase capability and capacity of amyloidosis diagnosis and management across regions.
  • Develop and maintain regional account plans in collaboration with other field-based teams
  • Use AstraZeneca-approved resources to support customer account objectives, ensuring compliance with SOPs and guidance.
  • Co-create improved patient pathways to enhance care quality and value realization.
  • Work with broader CVRM field teams in Heart Failure to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to optimize regional patient care.
  • Develop clinical and strategic NHS advocacy, achieving short, medium, and long-term goals.
  • Implement commercial and project-based offerings as required by the business.
  • Ensure adherence to AstraZeneca governance policies and ABPI Code of Practice.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Business/science-related degree (BSc, Masters) or similar higher-level qualification (e.g., MBA)
  • Full driving license
  • Proven success in optimising design and delivery of clinical pathways, with improved local outcomes and / or prescribing patterns
  • Extensive knowledge of NHS systems, structures, processes, governance and funding flows through all levels of the system HS knowledge: Understand & navigate stakeholders, structures, processes, clinical pathways & guidelines
  • Breadth of experience of a broad range of partnerships and collaborations with healthcare systems
  • Ability to collaborate optimally with senior partners, including joint working experience
  • Evidence of a deep understanding of NHS digital systems
  • Strong strategic approach and business acumen, with evidence of creating and implementing local strategies from insight
  • Experience influencing within a complex organization and with a ‘Hub & Spoke’ model of care within the NHS
  • Experience with NHSE Specialised Commissioning
  • Evidence of designing scalable collaborative programs for population health improvement
  • Extensive account management experience
  • Experience in a direct customer-facing role (sales, local market access, healthcare or medical)
  • Experience in amyloidosis, heart failure, haematology or rare disease

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • ABPI qualification
  • Project management qualification e.g, PRINCE-2
  • Digital medical expertise
