Account Management is a new tower within AstraZeneca’s GBS Process Solutions organization focused on business development for multi-disciplinary, end-to-end process optimization initiatives. Account Management will leverage an agile Pod model that will include a rich set of optimization capabilities such as Process Mining, Process Re-Engineering, Robotics Process Automation, BPM, Digital Adoption Platforms, and others. 

Introduction to role:
As a Senior Manager, you will be directly involved in conceptualizing, scoping, and selling enterprise-wide, large-scale, end-to-end process optimization initiatives to one or more of our dedicated customer groups i.e., R&D, Operations, Commercial, and Enabling Units. 

Accountabilities

As a Senior Manager, you will build and maintain sustainable, trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders and capability leaders. You will collaborate with relevant business unit leaders to uncover high-potential process optimization opportunities. You will establish and lead a delivery Pod aligned to respective business units that will deliver end-to-end services through defined roles and operating model. You will also manage senior stakeholder expectations against agreed business outcomes and delivery roadmap.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Proven professional services and consultative sales experience
  • Strong business acumen combined with the ability to establish, grow, and maintain trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders and capability leaders
  • Proven Account Management experience in defining Account strategy, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, business planning
  • A proven track record of delivering end-to-end process optimisation initiatives (>$10m+) across a large-scale global business / portfolio 
  • Understanding of R&D/Operations biopharmaceutical processes
  • Working knowledge across multiple technology driven process optimisation capabilities (Process Mining, Process Re-Engineering, Robotics Process Automation, BPM, Digital Adoption platforms and others) both internal to Process Solutions and externally across GBS, IT and wider AZ
  • Exceptional influencing skills across all stakeholder levels including development of compelling Business Cases 
  • Experience in leading highly complex, cross-functional projects/programs in a matrixed model
  • Experience in collaborating and working with high-performing, globally based teams

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced Global Business Services environment with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with the biopharmaceuticals industry
  • Active engagement in technology industry trends supporting process improvement
  • Experience or qualifications in a related technology area
  • Experience working with Agile delivery methodology
  • Experience of working globally with multi-cultural awareness and cultural adaptability
