Procurement - Strategy Enablement Programme Director

Introduction to role:

Join us as a Strategy Enablement Programme Director and play a vital role in the success of our Global Procurement function. This role requires vision, energy, procurement expertise, and a proven track record of significantly improving ways of working within complex environments. You will work closely with the Head of Strategy Enablement to define and drive a programme of high profile functional initiatives, directly enabling the delivery of Procurement’s strategy. This position will have a limited tenure ending in December 2025 (fixed-term contract).

Accountabilities:

As a Strategy Enablement Programme Director, you will determine and drive a programme of high profile, targeted initiatives that will accelerate the delivery of Procurement’s 222 strategy. Your programme of work will include implementing Global Procurement’s new Preferred Supplier List (PSL) Strategy, overseeing the improvement of Global Procurement’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities and Performance Management processes, and defining and driving other key projects as they arise to further accelerate delivery of Procurement’s 222 strategy.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Significant Procurement and/or supply chain experience

  • Proven track record of delivering projects in a global environment

  • Experience in change management and people management skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others

  • Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically

  • Ability to challenge the ‘status quo’ and embedded ways of working to drive positive and sustainable change

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, stakeholder & colleague expectations and deliver consistently high-quality outputs

  • Significant experience of managing different stakeholder relationships and confident at forging trusted relationships at all levels

  • Experience of working in an highly regulated sector

  • Sound judgment combined with strong interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Strategic thinker looking outside to bring new approaches to continually reinvigorate outputs and improve the effectiveness of approaches

  • Proactive with high levels of self-motivation and personal accountability

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Able to develop and maintain networks across business and cultural boundaries
