Join our Global Business Services team as a Principal Finance Data Quality Assurance Analyst, where you'll be responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving data issues affecting financial planning, reporting, and operations for assigned areas. Accountabilities:
As a Principal Finance Data Quality Assurance Analyst, you will act as a lead and subject matter expert for all data quality processes and activities related to your assigned area. You will own and manage DQA value and project involvement monthly internal and external reporting. You will lead the investigation of master data, transaction, and mapping issues affecting reporting and planning systems. You will define manual adjustments as needed to temporarily correct time-critical issues. You will work with process analysts to identify root causes of data quality issues and propose process and system improvements. You will use data quality reporting tools, system reconciliations, and direct data analysis to proactively identify potential data issues for resolution. You will contribute to improvements in tools, methods, processes, documentation, and controls within the team. Lastly, you will perform data quality profiling and produce ad hoc data quality reports.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Accounting background
Experience of working with financial data and systems, preferably using SAP
Background in data analysis and issue investigation in a complex data and system environment
Experience in the maintenance and use of common financial data (e.g., costs centres, profit centres, chart of accounts, transactional postings)
Experience supporting Finance month-end processes, reporting, and planning
Good understanding of data quality and data management principles
Proactive, analytical and investigative mindset
Proficient in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Experience of working in a complex global organisation
Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge
Experience using data quality profiling and monitoring tools
Experience in querying data using SQL
Experience creating reports
