Communications & Engagement Manager
In this role, you will lead the change and communications strategy for the GBS People Services organization. As a key member of the extended People Services Leadership Team, you will ensure a best-in-class, employee-centric approach to communication and change across the organization. Collaborating closely with the wider GBS and HR change and communications communities, you will deliver consistent themes and messaging within People Services.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Communications: Develop and execute a comprehensive, end-to-end communications strategy, aligned with GBS and organizational priorities.
Engagement Planning: Create and manage a robust communication calendar, incorporating creative and innovative ways to engage employees across different geographies and levels.
Leadership Collaboration: Partner with Leadership Teams and key stakeholders to deliver engaging forums such as Town Halls or team-wide events, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies.
Content Creation: Craft compelling written, visual, and multimedia communications (e.g., announcements, presentations, infographics) to support strategic priorities and business updates.
Data driven decision: Regularly gather employee feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as needed to ensure clarity, alignment, and impact.
Local Engagement: Work with site leads to embed site-specific communication strategies, ensuring alignment and consistency across locations.
Service-Specific Messaging: Develop tailored communication strategies for service offerings, ensuring each service area is effectively represented and understood.
Storytelling & Leadership Support: Support leadership teams in creating impactful stories and narratives for key stakeholders, including content for organizational leadership forums and updates.
Customer Engagement: Enhance employee and customer engagement through service launches, promotions, and ongoing campaigns, strengthening relationships and driving satisfaction.
Change Enablement: Lead the design and implementation of change communication strategies, ensuring seamless transitions and fostering alignment during periods of organizational transformation.
Event management – manage and execute site, hybrid, and online events
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field, ideally within fast-paced, evolving environments.
Strong background in managing global communication projects, with a focus on employee engagement and experience.
Demonstrated ability to use analytics and data to inform storytelling, drive decision-making, and influence leadership.
Highly curious, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to craft and deliver clear and engaging verbal and written communications.
Proficient in the latest digital communication platforms and tools, with a solid understanding of emerging technologies and their business applications.
Adept at simplifying complex concepts to ensure alignment and understanding across diverse audiences.
Strong business acumen and the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience in a shared services within a global organization.
Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry or similarly complex, global organizations.
