Introduction to role

Here at AstraZeneca, the Oncology Diagnostic Manager (ODM) brings to bear their expertise in the current diagnostic market and clinical test market to make a significant impact! Enabling optimal treatment throughout the patient journey through high-quality in-market companion diagnostics/testing solutions. To meet this goal the ODM works collaboratively with various teams to implement tactical plans with an understanding of clinical operational issues on the testing pathway, developing tailored testing solutions as needed.

Accountabilities

In this role you will establish and maintain significant relationships with Key Opinion Leaders such as Laboratory decision-makers, Oncologists, Pathologists, Geneticists, and Molecular Pathologists across your region. Working cross functionally with internal colleagues to present and share highly technical data presentations and educational information as well as educating on the need for diagnostic quality assurance programs. Collaborate with diagnostic companies, lab networks, and HCPs to uncover testing barriers and build strategies to support and educate on solutions. At all times ensuring adherence to the AstraZeneca Code of Conduct and wider compliance and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in life sciences, medicine, or pharmacy

• proven experience in diagnostic market and clinical testing market; preferably within Oncology

• Ability to share and discuss scientific content and context with multiple audiences

• Project management skills

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven stakeholder management experience

• Detailed knowledge of the diagnostic testing regulatory environment

• Ability to travel within geographic territory
