Thesis work description:  

This project focuses on advancing research into Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems (SNEDDS) and mesoporous materials for improving the delivery of poorly soluble drugs. You will explore cutting-edge lipid-based formulations and their potential applications in enhancing drug solubility and bioavailability. 

Key Objectives: 

  • Optimize SNEDDS Formulation - Develop and characterize self-nanoemulsifying formulations that effectively enhance the solubility of poorly soluble drugs. 
  • Evaluate Compatibility with Mesoporous Materials - Investigate the loading capacity and interactions of SNEDDS within mesoporous matrices to ensure stability and bioavailability. 
  • Assess Drug Release Profiles - Conduct in vitro studies to analyze the release profiles of drugs from both SNEDDS in capsules and formulations within mesoporous tablets. 
  • Enhance Tablet Formulation Techniques - Explore compression techniques for producing tablets from mesoporous materials loaded with SNEDDS to achieve optimal drug delivery. 
  • Contribute to Drug Delivery Science - Provide valuable insights and advancements in the field of drug delivery that may lead to more effective therapeutic options for patients. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Ongoing master’s studies within Pharmacy or Process Engineering
