Distribution Manager
Typical Accountabilities:
• Owns delivery of integrated supply solutions within a single, specialised area
• Undertakes operational and tactical planning covering a specific area of expertise and ensures execution of plans in order to deliver against business requirements in a professional and efficient manner
• Undertakes process and resource planning, communicates objectives and monitors performance to ensure delivery against agreed targets
• Undertakes management reporting via both information systems and paper-based systems
• Monitors and maintains compliance to current Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety and Health and Environment procedures, raising and addressing problems as they arise
• Follows AstraZeneca’s financial policies, manages people resources to policy requirement and delivery budgets
• Optimises performance outcomes of direct reports and ensures individuals understand the contribution they make
• Acts as point of contact within the distribution centre to resolve any issues with delivery
• Promotes continuous improvement, identifying and delivering performance improvements
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Essential: University degree; Knowledge of Pharmaceutical production supply chain principles, Good Manufacturing Practice, Food and Drug Administration requirements (or equivalent), Customs rules and regulations
• Desirable: Professional qualification; Experience in team leadership
