Senior Scientist – Early Stage Formulation Sciences
Are you ready to challenge yourself with interesting work? We are looking for a Senior Scientist to join our Formulation Sciences team. This laboratory-based position involves performing formulation development activities of therapeutic protein products from pre‐clinical through pivotal clinical trials. You will use innovative and modern techniques to characterize and develop formulations with appropriate stability profiles of candidate molecules to meet project needs.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Scientist, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of routinely used analytical techniques such as HPLC, UV‐vis spectroscopy, HIAC, MFI, DSC, Rheometer, CD, Fluorescence for formulation development. You will also be involved in lyophilization, spray-drying and freeze‐thaw technology development initiatives that impact the critical quality attributes of the product during early as well as late stage of formulation development. Presenting data from formulation and technology development activities at internal and external meetings will also be part of your role.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- BS, MS or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, biochemical engineering or related field.
- BS with 10+ years, MS with 5‐8 years, or PhD with 0‐3 years, in pharmaceutical industry/academia as appropriate (biotechnology area preferred).
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience in spray-drying, freeze-drying and/or freeze‐thaw characterization (mDSC, freeze‐dry microscopy, PLM, FTIR, XRD, SEM, KF) and process development, optimization, scale‐up and technology transfer.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $109,301.60 - 163,952.40. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
