Director, Precision Medicine Marketing (Lung)
As Director, Precision Medicine Marketing, you will play a pivotal role within the US Oncology Business in shaping the commercialization of AstraZeneca’s portfolio of precision-enabled therapies through the design and execution of integrated patient identification strategies. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, US Precision Medicine Marketing, and in partnership with global dx, brand, insights, commercial sales and non-sales field teams, medical, access, and other functions, drive the creation of cross-functional precision medicine marketing strategies and execution plans. This role will have responsibility for lung and other franchise biomarker indications. This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus, headquarters for the US Oncology and the Oncology Business Unit.
Accountabilities
- Deliver global and US franchise-aligned diagnostic functional plans for launch readiness and in-line support of multiple biomarkers
- Monitor testing performance, competitive, and market trends to communicate insights to cross-functional partners and inform brand planning, forecasting, and business decisions.
- Proactively identify gaps in biomarker, testing journey, platform, or pathology customer understanding and partner with insights and analytics to address.
- Conceive, drive, manage, and deliver results for complex projects involving internal functions and external customers and partners.
- Represent AstraZeneca externally through allied corporate partnerships, professional societies, and diagnostic collaborations
- Partner with Precision Medicine and National Account field teams on pull-through of patient identification strategies to execution
- Adhere to the AZ Code of Conduct, Standards, and SOPs as well as comply with all regulatory and compliance requirements for your role.
Essential Skills/Experience
- A Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Life Sciences.
- 5+ years of Global and/or US marketing experience
- Ability to quickly synthesize and communicate complex technical information
- Direct-line leadership experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and high emotional intelligence, organizational skills and effective team skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- An MS/MBA or advanced degree.
- Targeted therapy or companion diagnostic experience within pharma.
- Experience consulting, insights and analytics, and or market access
- Cross-functional team leadership and or direct-line management
- Proficiency with the application of data, analytics & digital tools in marketing and business processes.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $217,000 to $260,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
