Data Science Summer Intern, Biologics Development
We are seeking Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Structural/Computational Biology or a related quantitative science field for a 12-Week Student Intern role in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.
Position Duties:
Conduct exploratory data analysis of biologics developability and manufacturability properties.
Apply advanced machine learning techniques to predict antibody developability properties.
Compare structural and sequence-based AI models and finetuning approachesfor developability prediction.
Position Requirements:
Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computational/Structural Biology or a related quantitative science field.
Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
Solid understanding of statistical data analysis and machine learning models is required.
Proficiency in Python and Pytorch (Geometric)/TensorFlow is required.
Familiarity with large language models, their finetuning approaches, and graph neural networks is required.
Familiarity with protein language models and domain-specific knowledge in antibody development is desirable.
Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
This role will not be providing OPT support.
Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD for 3-5 days a week. This role can provide relocation assistance to non-local candidates in need.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0
