Join us as a Principal Engineer in our Operations department at AstraZeneca. Our Automation Engineering team is responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing and logistics buildings at the Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC). We troubleshoot, modify, and improve automation, data management/storage systems, and networks related to process, utility, and support equipment and systems. 

Accountabilities:
As a Principal Engineer, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities. You will need a working knowledge of electronic theory and its application, a basic understanding of instrumentation and control loops, and the ability to troubleshoot PLC systems, distributed control systems, control networks, building management systems, VFD and motor control systems, and IT infrastructure. You will also be responsible for selecting, designing, and implementing new/replacement systems for existing or new processes, equipment, and automated systems. 

Essential Skills/Experience:
- 20+ years of applicable experience
- 5+ years of industry experience
- BA/BS in Engineering/Life Sciences

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of management experience
- MS/MBA
