Senior Director, Enterprise Transformation

As Senior Director Enterprise Transformation, you will lead a lean, agile Enterprise Productivity Office to pinpoint, prove, and scale the changes that matter—simplifying work, increasing capacity, and improving delivery across our rare disease unit. Based in Ireland and reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you will partner directly with the executive team to diagnose challenges, shape enterprise strategies, and bring AI, digital and operating model solutions to life. In this high-visibility role, your recommendations will inform CEO- and executive-level decisions and your work will be measured by adoption and measurable value realized. Accountabilities: Enterprise Effectiveness and Productivity Strategy: Partner with executive and functional leaders to target improvements in organizational effectiveness, decision speed, productivity, operating models, location strategy, and ways of working—building a clear, high-value pipeline. Executive Advisory and Business Case Development: Diagnose ambiguous business challenges and translate them into actionable recommendations; quantify value and investment; shape prioritization and resourcing; and guide CEO/executive decision-making. AI, Digital and Data Enablement: Identify, test, and scale AI, automation, digital tools, and data-driven capabilities that raise efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience—proving impact through pilots and extending what works. Organizational Transformation and Change: Lead operating model evolution, functional effectiveness, shared services/global business services approaches, and workforce productivity—ensuring sustainable adoption of new ways of working. Enterprise Capability Building: Create tools, frameworks, dashboards, and playbooks that enable functions to independently drive continuous improvement and measurable outcomes, reducing reliance on central teams over time. Pipeline and Value Realization: Maintain an enterprise-wide productivity opportunity pipeline; define success metrics; and track outcomes against baseline for cost, capacity, cycle time, quality, employee experience, and adoption. Stakeholder Influence and Alignment: Engage executive sponsors, functional leaders, Digital & IT, HR, Finance, and external partners to align on goals, resolve barriers, and deliver outcomes through a small, high-impact team. Team Leadership: Lead a lean EPO team with project management and finance business partnering capabilities—prioritizing ruthlessly, moving fast on proofs of value, and scaling what delivers enterprise impact. Essential Skills/Experience: - 10+ years in enterprise transformation, management consulting, business operations, organizational effectiveness, strategy, digital transformation, AI enablement, or related leadership roles. - Proven ability to partner with executive teams, diagnose ambiguous business challenges, shape solutions, and influence strategic decisions without direct authority. - Demonstrated experience developing business cases that drive enterprise value and measurable outcomes. - Experience with operating model redesign, organizational transformation, workforce productivity, location strategy, functional effectiveness, or business process excellence. - Experience identifying and implementing AI, digital, automation, or data-driven capabilities that improve organizational effectiveness. - Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills. Desirable Skills/Experience: - Advanced degree in business, life sciences, engineering, data science, organizational effectiveness, or a related field. - Experience leading lean, agile transformation teams with a focus on measurable value realization. - Background in biopharmaceuticals, rare disease, or other highly regulated, science-driven environments. - Expertise in shared services/global business services design and implementation. - Familiarity with modern automation and data platforms and change leadership methodologies.
