Introduction to role

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in our newest API manufacturing facility in Ireland? As a Materials Management Planner at APICOM, you'll be responsible for daily planning and inventory activities from start-up through to commercial operations. Your mission will be to ensure that all materials are available and compliant for commercial and clinical products, adhering to cGMP, Corporate, and Regulatory requirements. You'll collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain departments to ensure material availability aligns with production plans and targets.

Accountabilities

• Resolving required materials to support the generation of planned/production orders within the AstraZeneca SAP 4HANA system.
• Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
• Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals and timelines, applicable to material readiness.
• Handling inventory issues, planning changes, and cancellations.
• Supporting the creation, maintenance, and implementation of Site Bills of Materials.
• Reviewing monthly forecasts and long-range planning strategies to ensure correct inventory levels while minimizing obsolescence.
• Defining, analyzing, and reporting material performance metrics on a weekly/monthly basis, including inventory levels.
• Working with Manufacturing and other site departments to understand future material needs and develop the production plan.
• Supporting audit preparation and closeout.
• Writing and supporting change controls, deviations, SCNA’s, SICAR, supplier updates, and CAPA’s through Alexion's Quality Control Systems applicable to material/planning needs.
• Routinely drafting and revising standard operating procedures in the Vault Quality System.
• Supporting new materials and new product introductions, including clinical product introductions if required.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Proficient in use of ERP database systems.
• Minimum of 2 years materials/planning experience in an MRP environment.
• Understanding of cGMP and sterile raw material planning requirements.
• Self-directed, responsible, and able to work on problems involving various cross-functional groups.
• Ability to contribute to results independently and adapt to constantly evolving priorities.
• Validated ability to expedite and drive planning adherence on an ongoing basis.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• MRP Knowledge
• SAP Experience
• 3rd level qualification in Planning, Materials Management, Business, Operations or Supply Chain Management/Logistics or other equivalent qualification.
