Job Title: Regional Account Manager, NMOSD, Colorado/Nevada
Introduction to role:
Are you ready to make a difference? As a Regional Account Manager for NMOSD in Colorado/Nevada, you'll be at the forefront of building and cultivating long-term relationships with physicians, prescribers, and other key stakeholders in your territory. Representing Alexion's brands, you'll provide crucial disease and product education to healthcare professionals, ultimately helping patients receive the care they need.
Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Consistently achieving or exceeding sales objectives in your territory while maintaining the highest level of organizational ethics and compliant business practices.
- Creating, maintaining, and implementing strategic account-specific business plans that reflect the brand plan and an in-depth understanding of local market forces.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders, including Institutional Account Managers, TLLs, SALs, MSLs, FRMs, Market Access, Diagnostics, and other Enterprise partners.
- Handling customer questions and objections in a manner consistent with product indications and sales training methodology, including the ability to compliantly triage inquiries to appropriate partners.
- Developing and maintaining in-depth disease and therapeutic clinical and scientific knowledge.
- Demonstrating high competence in educating on the disease’s diagnostic approach leading to effective patient diagnosis.
- Navigating complex hospital settings (academic and community) to access targeted HCPs and other key stakeholders.
- Appropriately applying all marketing tools and resources, including PowerPoint presentations, to further the selling process across all customer stakeholders.
- Leading the implementation of our patient-centric partnership model, which includes physicians, their staff, clinics, and applicable hospitals.
- Executing local disease education and promotional programs for the therapeutic area.
- Providing a high level of product expertise and customer service to all targeted accounts and appropriate stakeholders.
- Tracking activities and submitting reports on sales activities accurately and on time.
- Demonstrating effective time management and prioritization skills. A self-starter.
- Exhibiting excellent written and verbal skills.
Essential Skills/Experience:
You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proven documented track record of delivering consistent “Top-tier” sales results
- 5 years pharmaceutical sales or Equivalent Experience (e.g., Biotech or Medical Device)
- Neurology experience strongly preferred, especially:
- Establishing relationships with physicians referring, diagnosing, and/or treating neuromuscular disorders in high complexity institutions, community hospitals, satellite sites, and private practices.
- Where appropriate, establishing relationships with healthcare professionals working in locations that administer 1) Infused therapies and/or 2) Apheresis for immunological disorders
- Demonstrated success educating physicians about:
- Complex diseases diagnosed mainly through observations/exclusion rather than simple diagnostic tests
- Diverse patient disease profiles which do not lend themselves to simple segmentation and categorization for treatment decisions
- Ability to build and/or strengthen lasting relationships with providers in physician practices and hospitals where access may be challenging
- Manage territory budget and adhere to Alexion code of ethics and compliance
- Ability to travel within territory on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight and weekend travel
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. Desirable Skills/Experience:
We would prefer for you to have:
- Masters in Life Sciences or MBA a plus
- Bio/pharma; Neurology and/or Ophthalmology experience
- Navigate and work large Hospital systems, IDNs, and academic teaching hospitals

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,812 to $229,219. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
