ABOUT THE ROLE

AstraZeneca has integrated and transitioned into sourcing, purchasing and paying processes on a common Coupa platform with the strategic business objective to transform the way we buy and improve user experience.

This role would act as technical business analyst by leveraging in-depth technical understanding of the Coupa Platform (herein referred as “platform”) and its integrations. The role would act as the technical SME of the platform and would be accountable for release/change/programme management by working with the necessary stakeholders.

The role holder would report to Platform Technical Lead.

Service Delivery

  • Manage IT metrics for the platform as per the target (P1, P2, P3/P4 etc)

  • Gather high level business requirements/information, perform analysis and define technology requirements, business rules and be able to design a solution based on completed analysis & support the development of technical solutions/changes to meet them.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge about the platform and its integrations to provide guidance to team members on technology/domain/application queries

  • Actively assess system enhancements and deploy them in accordance with the latest platform product release

  • Identify process improvements and implement change with clear outcomes of improvement and standardisation

  • Undertake diagnostic work to understand specific technical issues or problems in greater depth and reveal possible solutions.

  • Demonstrate capability around issue resolutions across the platform and a strong network with the suppliers (Coupa & others), Middleware teams, Testing,  ERP teams etc., to enable an efficient way of managing the platform

  • Manage change management & incident management end to end

  • Support Testing activities by triaging, scenario setting etc.,

  • Deliver platform based projects so as to improve adoption of latest features

  • Consistently promote integration of best practices and leading trends

  • Coordinate and engage with key stakeholder groups across the business, Global and Local/BU functional teams and external providers

  • Resolve issues partnering with technical, finance, procurement teams and vendors to implement change as required.

  • Manage and document new functionalities of the platform releases/enhancements along with the impact assessment and share with the platform owners and controllers so as to bring awareness about new changes and its impacts/benefits to system behaviour and functionality

  • Support growth to new markets/new entity integration with necessary project planning and delivery

  • Take the lead during remediation of priority incidents (P1 & P2) and update all partners as appropriate in alignment with AstraZeneca’s priority communication process.

  • Proactive in identifying areas for process improvement or finding opportunities for Automation

  • Work within a DevOps culture and Agile Scrum methodology.

  • Demonstrate strong networking, particularly across Middleware/ERP/SQ&T areas as the key to success will be the candidate’s ability to negotiate the internal world of AZ and leverage networks developed to deliver a change/project.

  • Take lead on SOx Compliance documentation e.g. URS, RTM, RACM, Segregation of Duty matrix etc. And address SOx queries

  • Engage with platform product owner and be seated at the weekly/monthly governance calls

  • Send out daily/weekly progress reports

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong background on supporting P2P applications

  • Strong experience in coordinating with the platform owners and system controllers to understand business requirements, functional requirements, and conversion of business rules into technical specifications.

  • Team manager

  • Experience in any P2P system as Tech SME with strong knowledge on the functionalities (Coupa would be desirable)

  • Experience in programme & change implementation, be able to work closely with stakeholders.

  • Good understanding of SAP and integration of P2P applications to provide support in the areas of:

    • Middleware Integration (MuleSoft, SAP PI, IDOCS, SOA, Snap Logic)

    • Process flows and Approval Hierarchies

    • Master Data entry and mapping

    • ERP Financials, Payment processing

    • Design Architecture

  • Experienced with IT Service Management tools like ServiceNow & Jira

  • Experience in managing and developing 3rd party business relationships

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively

  • Able to communicate at all levels within the organisation and with strong communication and stakeholder management drive a change agenda to delivery and benefits

  • Track record of driving simplification & continuous improvement across key business processes

  • Significant experience in Service delivery and processes in a complex, multinational, corporate environment required

  • Thorough understanding of Finance and/or Procurement processes

  • Experience related to the outsourcing industry

  • Strong delivery, influencing/ communication skills

  • An ability to work and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization is essential

  • A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience and a desire for professional excellence

  • Ability to analyse/ prioritise requests or issues/ changes and provide the best possible solution

  • Ability to make decisions in pressure situations at a management level

  • Good insight into IS ways of working and contractual relationships

  • Candidate will be qualified at a university degree level and have relevant years of experience in the domain area.

  • Excellent understanding of P2P systems and business solution which drive business value.

Educational Qualifications

  •  UG - B. Tech /B.E. or other equivalent technical qualifications Personal Attributes.
