AstraZeneca is seeking a dynamic and expert Senior Business Analyst to join our R&D IT Digital Lab Platform. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is inspiring change and innovation in our laboratories through Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) configuration changes and integrations. We are looking for an individual who can bring their expertise in business analysis and design to deliver small scale business change activities, and chip in on large scale or global business change.
Accountabilities
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing business needs, planning business analysis, conducting collaborator analysis, defining requirements analysis and design, handling arguments and benefits, and evaluating solutions. You will work collaboratively with various teams including support teams, other Business Analysts, ELN Product Lead, business change leads, and more.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an R&D IT scientific data environment.
- Proficient understanding of ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebooks) or LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
- Skilled in utilizing business analysis tools and techniques to design and implement business changes.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology and proficiency in using JIRA.
- Strong skills in engagement, communication, and facilitation, including effective presentation and influencing abilities.
- Proven track record of working with third-party suppliers and vendors, including SaaS providers.
- Excellent judgment, negotiation, and influencing capabilities.
- Effective presentation, networking, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated customer focus and collaborator management abilities.
- Expertise in business process and requirements management.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Degree in a relevant field or formal certification in business analysis practice.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Experience within a global organization.
- Awareness of the pharmaceutical business and domain knowledge.
- Understanding of User-Centric Design, including User Experience, User Interface Design, and Business Process Design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and proficiency in using JIRA, with Air Focus as a beneficial skill.
