Job Title: Proof Reader /QC Analyst

Career Level - C1

Introduction to Role:

Join us as a Proof Reader/QC Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in the validation of artworks from external studios against supplied MC brief and AZ Artwork specifications. This role is essential in ensuring that our artwork studios adhere to all of AstraZeneca’s requirements in a GMP compliant and timely manner. Accountabilities:

As a Proof Reader/QC Analyst, you will work on your own initiative and as an effective team member to prioritize your workload and meet business objectives. Your responsibilities will include providing accurate checks of packaging artwork supplied by external studios, accurately recording results of these checks, ensuring all relevant SOPs are followed, and using existing knowledge and experience to offer advice and guidance to other team members. You will also maintain and update all information needed to monitor external supplier KPIs, complete regular GMP training, and provide additional support outside normal working hours when necessary.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in proofing / checking of Artworks

  • Ability to concentrate with attention to detail whilst adhering to processes

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Understanding of Creative Suite applications

  • Knowledge of comparison software

  • Gazelle user

  • Understanding of the Pack Change Business Process (LRF to Packed stock to market) including risk profiles vs stock, customer service and on time implementation

  • Working knowledge of interaction of packing line equipment with artwork components (barcodes, edge marks, free space, varnish free areas, variable data)

  • Working knowledge of processes at Print Suppliers (step up and repeat, plate/cylinder making)
