As a DevOps Lead at AstraZeneca, you'll collaborate with the Platform Lead, Technical Lead, Scrum Master, and DevOps Engineers to ensure timely and sophisticated delivery of user demands. You'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge software and cloud technologies, working closely with a global team of engineers, architects, business analysts, project managers, developers, and data scientists. Accountabilities
- Support and coach teams of DevOps engineers in Scrum practices.
- Manage IT service management activities including ticketing, incidents, and change requests.
- Plan and manage solution releases.
- Ensure continuous availability and performance optimization of platform services.
- Lead incident response efforts with root cause analysis and process improvement.
- Implement security best practices for secure and compliant infrastructure.
- Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability management and identity/access controls.
- Act as a key contact for cross-functional teams, aligning development and operations with platform goals.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience, with strong communication skills.
- Overall 9+ years of IT industry experience, with substantial expertise as a Scrum Master, Service Manager, and/or Release Manager. Understanding of agile methodologies.
- High-level end-to-end understanding of application design, construction, testing, deployment, and delivery.
- Experience with automated deployment tools and CI/CD principles using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions/Runners, CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, Helm etc.
- Experienced user of Git with understanding of branching, Git flows, and release management.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, AWS SSM, etc.
- Experience with testing tools like SonarQube, Cucumber, Pytest etc.
- Ability to support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restores of different software environments.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- SAFe trained and certified.
- Experience with microservices architecture and related DevOps tools.
- Understanding of agile methodologies; experience in the pharma domain is a plus.
- Experience working in matrixed organizations and dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of programming skills in Java, .Net, etc.
