Introduction to role

Join AstraZeneca as a Signals Notebook Integration Specialist. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our ELN capabilities through seamless integration with other R&D systems. Your technical expertise will support our scientific teams in ensuring efficient data flow, interoperability, and optimized laboratory workflows.

Accountabilities

  • Integration Support: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of integrations between Signals Notebook and systems such as LIMS, data analysis tools, and enterprise applications using technologies like Python, Java, RabbitMQ, and Mulesoft. Integrations are deployed and managed using AWS services.
  • Multi-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and scientific teams to identify integration needs and contribute to developing solutions that improve laboratory workflows.
  • Use APIs and scripting languages to support the automation of data exchanges, ensuring efficient workflow processes.
  • Data Management Assistance: Support efforts to maintain high data integrity and security standards, with a focus on GxP compliance when relevant.
  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Assist in monitoring integration systems and resolving issues to minimize disruptions, utilizing tools like RabbitMQ.
  • Documentation: Contribute to the maintenance and development of comprehensive documentation for integration processes and best practices.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with system integration in a scientific or laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, RestAPI, and familiarity with RabbitMQ and Mulesoft.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Understanding of GxP systems and compliance is preferred but not mandatory.
