Introduction to role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for uncovering hidden trends and patterns. 

Accountabilities

- Translate Business Needs into Product Requirements: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and translate them into clear and concise product requirements.
- Data Extraction and Integration: Pull data from various sources and effectively join and map unrelated datasets to create a comprehensive view.
- Metric Calculation and Documentation: Clearly explain and document the methodology and business rules used to calculate key metrics.
- Data Visualization: Create informative and visually appealing data visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Data Governance: Adhere to data governance standards and best practices to maintain data quality and integrity.

Essential Skills/Experience

- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience working in a role associated with reporting, analytics, and/or data management.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, EXCEL.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI).
- Good with Data Modelling, Power Query and RLS techniques in Power BI.
- Well versed in working with different DAX functions.
- Knowledge of industry standards and trends.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Knowledge in python.
- Work Experience with Jira and Figma tools will be a plus.

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Insights Analyst, Business Intelligence Developer or a similar role.
