Introduction to the Role

This internship focuses on exploring the fundamental principles of multi-modal alignment in transformer architectures—a critical challenge in modern AI research. You will work on developing and evaluating AI models that integrate different types of data, such as visual-textual information or biological sequences and structures. The research aims to enhance our understanding of how transformers align and process diverse modalities, contributing to advancements in causal discovery and drug discovery.

Accountabilities

As a Summer Intern, you will:

• Assist in investigating multi-modal alignment in transformer-based AI models.

• Work with large datasets and computational tools to conduct experiments.

• Collaborate with researchers in AI and life sciences.

• Summarize findings in technical reports or presentations.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

• Basic programming skills (Python preferred) and familiarity with machine learning frameworks.

• Interest in multi-modal learning, transformers, or deep learning.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a research-driven environment.
