What you’ll do

Job purpose

As HR Advisor / People Services & Payroll you will contribute to a wide range of employment lifecycle touchpoints and related HR processes. Working with a high level of autonomy, you will run HR services and act as key point of contact for employees, managers and HR services providers, mainly covering areas like workforce administration, payroll, employee and manager guidance and support, HR systems, benefits administration.

In this role you will report to the local HR Lead. At the same time you will be closely connected to Global HR Operations & Solutions team and the regional HR Advisors team across CEE region in pursuit of our ambition to deliver modern, consistent and efficient HR services which ensure both solid compliance and a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

Workforce administration

  • Manage employee data in HR systems, e.g. new hires, job & compensation changes, personal data changes, enrolment to benefits & health services, terminations etc; ensures accurate HR data and reports.
  • Handle the required employment files and documentation in close liaison with the external HR services provider (e.g. labour or contracts, addenda, employment statements, terminations etc).
  • Constantly seek more efficient ways to compliantly manage HR admin transactions, leveraging Global HR Operations & Solution processes and technology advancements.

Payroll

  • Deliver monthly payroll process in close liaison with external payroll provider and internal finance function; proactively manage the relationship with external payroll provider to ensure the services provided meet the agreed standards.
  • Share all relevant payroll data with the provider as per agreed calendar and ensure that any queries are being resolved in advance of monthly payroll runs; validate payroll reports.
  • Actively involved, with reports and insights, into all compensation processes, e.g. annual compensation review, salary surveys, budgeting etc.

Employee advisory & guidance

  • Act as key point of contact and provide support on a range of employment related matters as per applicable policies and legal requirements, e.g. time & leave, job changes, employment statements, medical check-ups, benefits, disciplinary, grievances etc.
  • Proactively stay up-to-date with relevant policies, processes and legal requirements, identifying areas for enhancement and making recommendations for change; contributes to the revision of internal HR policies and processes.

Employee benefits & health

  • Administer and contribute to the enhancement of employee benefits package.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with vendors, ensure that employees are properly informed and supported in fully using the available benefits.
  • Cooperate with Safety & Health internal specialist and external provider to ensure alignment with the S&H framework, e.g. organize medical check-ups etc.

Other responsibilities

  • Ensure the compliance of HR services & payroll processes with policy and legal framework; is direct contributor for internal and external HR audits.
  • May be involved in various other people-related projects or workstreams, in connection with regional and/or global HR teams, in line with business priorities and development aspiration.

Your profile

  • University degree;
  • Relevant HR services & payroll hands-on experience in a corporate environment (e.g. multi-national, SSC, BPO), covering as many areas of the role;
  • Solid analytical skills and literacy in handling data and reports, using Excel and HR systems;
  • Good knowledge of Romanian employment legislative framework;
  • Curiousness and learning agility, continuous improvement mindset – eagerness to develop self and to find smart ways to simplify and improve processes by using modern tools and technology;
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills – ability to build working relationships in a professional and positive manner in order to build alignment and shared support base;
  • Well-organized and able to deal with multiple priorities;
  • Effective communication, including advanced level of English (oral and written);
  • Highest standards of ethics and discretion.
