What you’ll do
As the Field Force Manager, you will lead, coach, and develop the Key Accounts Managers team, driving improved performance and capabilities in generating clinical demand for AZ assigned brands, pro-actively identifying business opportunities, communicating value propositions aligned to partner needs and objectives, and recommending solutions to drive and develop business. You will be accountable for managing individual territories and for delivering results in those areas. The long-term goal is to develop strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with the multi-disciplinary brand team, based on a deep scientific understanding of the issues in order to identify the best opportunities for AZ's brand portfolio to deliver life-changing medicines to patients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Develop a business plan for the allocated brands by identifying key opportunities and the specific actions and objectives to be achieved in accordance with the strategy and tactics defined in the brand plan.
Managing effectively the allocation of all resources: human, time and cost, within budget and business plan.
Training and coaching of Key Account Managers (KAM) to reach a high level of knowledge and skills in their roles, so as to meet the expected performance and ethical standards.
Identify and establish a close relationship with Key Opinion Leaders (KEE), decision-makers in the healthcare system, to achieve performance goals and a driven advantage within the assigned products.
Analyse market data, promotion data, and monitoring of competition activities to determine the opportunities and risks for the promoted brands, as well as to make appropriate recommendations for capitalizing on opportunities in the allocated territory and mitigating the related risks.
Working cross-functionally ensure effective implementation of brand plans and timely feedback on market dynamics and potential difficulties during promotional campaigns.
Planning, monitoring and reporting team activities accurately and in time, in line with AZ standards, so that relevant KPIs are attained at KAM level and at regional / national team level.
Implementation of the performance management process and facilitating the individual development planning for the KAMs in the team.
Maintaining permanent contact and close collaboration with other departments to ensure effective information exchange, support for product plans, as well as representing the company's interests according to the communicated strategies.
Required skills and experience for the role:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in scientific or business discipline
Minimum 3 years experience in bio-pharmaceutical commercial field covering specialty care portfolio
Solid understanding of Account Management and Customer management
Patient centric approach with thorough knowledge of patient flow / journey
Collaborative and inclusive; ability to work in an organization with cross-functional diverse teams
Analytical thinking and data synthesis ability
Result-oriented mindset
Curiousness and learning agility
Effective stakeholder and relationship management experience; able to interact with multiple levels within and outside of AZ
Solid literacy of digital environment and omni-channel approach
Excellent communication skills, written and presentation, in Romanian and English
